Scientist, lecturer, broadcaster and 2005 Rose Of Tralee, Dr. Aoibhinn Ní Shúilleabháin, a native of Mayo, enjoys two scenic journeys at Caraheigue (Ceathruthaidhg) and Black Sod Bay.

Aoibhinn Ní Shúilleabháin is exploring the beautiful Mullet peninsula and having left her bike behind from the previous part of her journey she continues on foot on the 9km Carrowtiegue Loop walk. Her journey of discovery brings her along the way to Aghleam Village, and to onad Deirbhle from here Aoibhinn takes a short stroll to the coastal lighthouse at Blacksod. The journey's end is comes afer the lighthouse where the road rises slowly to a height where the dramatic coastline and its many islands can be seen laid out below.
