There are many places to start a hike along the Lower Bann - Anna picks up the trail in this video at Hutchinson’s Quay which runs to Portna Locks. She meets Bradden Baille who makes the wooden spars for the locks and Joe Gilliespie who talks more about the canal.

This Tracks & Trails video journeys along the Lower Bann and is presented by Anna Geary who captained the Cork team to win the All Ireland Camogie championship. Anna is also a team captain on Ireland’s Fittest Family. In total this trip is 60km long, for the adventurous this journey can be completed in one straight run with a combination of walking, cycling and kayaking. Anna’s journey comprises of three different routes, where she walks and kayaks. The Lower Bann runs from lough neagh all the way to barmouth north of Coleriane. Anna is walking the Lower Bann.
