Cliona’s walk is on the North Coast of Antrim where she undertakes an 18 kilometre stretch along the coastline to the Giant’s Causeway. So many of us know of the Giant’s Causeway, but not so many of us have walked the coastline to get there. Cliona begins her hike at Carrrick Little car park at the base of Slieve Binnain. The Blue Lough appears about ½ way along her route and then she continues to a high point overlooking Ben Crom reservoir, before descending for a gentle walk through Silent Valley. After leaving Portna, Anna is on a trail that can be cycled along the main road or undertaken via kayak. This picturesque 5km canal excursion takes her from Portna to Movanagher. The final stage of this journey is 20km away in Coleraine. It is the largest town Anna encounters and it is near the mouth of the river Bann.

Setting out in Belturbet Co. Cavan comedian Colin Murphy cycles to the border to meet Fermanagh native Graham Little, and together they cycle to Upper Lough Erne. This is not so much a lake as a watery maze of islands, inlets and meandering waters. The two lads cycle along the Kingfisher cycle which goes all around Upper Lough Erne.
